Facebook & Instagram Apologizes for Difficulties in Loading Images & Other Files

Following An outage, Facebook and Instagram have revealed the usually hidden messages that are attached to people’s photos.

The global problems – which started simultaneously across Facebook products, and also took in WhatsApp – has left parts of the sites working but others completely are broken.

The issues appear to be particularly affecting photos.

On WhatsApp, pictures can’t be sent; while on Instagram and Facebook, images are not loading, leaving the boxes they would normally appear empty.

Facebook itself suffered some outages as well, including WhatsApp.

According to DownDetector, they don’t seem to be as widespread.

However, Twitter’s direct messages also had some hiccups earlier on Wednesday.

While Instagram has had several outages this year, driving users to the point of frustration—and they didn’t hesitate to take those grievances to other social media outlets.

The outage seems concentrated in the Northeast U.S. and parts of Europe, including London.

But there are sporadic outages around the globe, according to DownDetector.com.

In the meantime, Instagram took to Twitter, as well as Facebook to let users know it’s aware of the issue and working to resolve it.
