The Delta State Government led by Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is set to host the ‘2019 Nigerian Police Security Summit’ schedule on Tuesday 26th November.
In a Statement by Fred Larimore Oghenesivbe Esq. said the Inspector General Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, and governors of the South-South geopolitical zone, will be attending a regional security summit under the auspices of the Nigerian Police Force.
It was further learnt that governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the nation’s Inspector General of Police as well as the governors of the South-South states, will kick start the programme at 11am.
According Barrister Fred, he said the Delta State, has made tremendous progress since May 29, 2015 in resolving security challenges.
He further cited that the state have also recorded giant strides in peacebuilding; sustained partnership and synergy with stakeholders, especially with the security agencies, local vigilante groups, organized youth bodies, royal fathers and community leaders.
The state efforts in peace and security initiatives visibly enhanced socioeconomic advancement, attracted local and foreign investors with positive impact on other states in the region and the nation’s economy.
However, the Government statement in Asaba disclosed that accreditation of participants shall commence exactly 9am while all invited guests are to be seated on or before 10:30 am.
